Great country pub
This is a lovely pub with a outdoor deck with views of the river. It serves good gastro pub style meals and there is something on the menu for everyone. Our meals were all pretty good and reasonably priced.
Thank heavens! After a wee detour, the Gladdie is back to being a great pub and place to eat. Good food, good service and a friendly atmosphere. Not sure how it is at the weekend;s when the Wgt urbanites go rural - but during the week, it's a treat to be enjoyed. Keep it up !
Rang and inquired about the "Pensioner Specials" advertised in a local midweek paper.Confirmed they were available and which days. Rang a couple of days latter and booked for 4 people and confirmed the price of $20.00 including dessert or $15.00 without. When we arrived we were not advised that "Pensioner Specials" were available only that smaller size meals were available with 3 items. The items we had were in that list and frankly if they had been any smaller they would have been an entree. Waited 35 minutes for our meals even though only two others had ordered before us. Left feeling ripped off. Meal quality was great, Paid over $100.00 for four meals, two handles of beer,an orange juice and a coke. Once bitten, twice shy.
